743 won't start in the cold

Be careful I don't think the soft plug type heater will work with your 743B, no room. Because where it needs to go on the flywheel end right behind the seat. My local Bobcat dealer recommended a tank type heater that ties into the antifreeze hoses on the back of the engine.

743 won't start in the cold

I have a 743B also and live up north where it can drop well below freezing. Kubota's V1702 are known for poor compression and cold weather doesn't help. I was having the same issue so I tried Auto RX. I'm on the second treatment and it did help. My machine starts way easier than it ever did...

Considering a 743...reasons to go with one of these, or upgrade?

I've got a 743B diesel about 2000hrs made back in 1993 and it's still running strong. With older machines as long as the hydraulics have been keep closed it should be clean. Look hard at the hrs and maintenance record if you're lucky enough to find one with? GREAT machine IMHO.

    New 763 Owner

Very nice! The 763 is a great machine. On mine the SN tag was on the left rear right above the radiator grill cover. Not sure if it was on the lift arm or body but any ways that's the general vicinity. Have fun!

    743B V1702 Engine Block Heater?

Okay after talking to my local Bobcat dealer going the expansion plug route is out. He said there just isn't enough room for it to even fit in there. Says it would hit the flywheel fan shroud. Recommended the tank heater.

    743B V1702 Engine Block Heater?

I know this topic was touched on awhile back but I'm still not perfectly clear on which expansion plug you would pull in order to install the heater. Is it the one right behind the seat in the head right above the flywheel? If so then it's an engine pull to install the block heater which really...

    743 u joint greasing?

Just greased mine with the cab up laying on top of the hyd pumps going in from the left side. Used regular grease gun with no extension. Held tip onto grease zerk with one hand while pumping with the other. Spent more time finding and aligning them than it took to grease.

    post pics?

It's a real pain. Someone with more patience and time needs to tackle this one.

How much sludge is a Kuboto D750 likely to have

Diesel engine oil runs black most of the time no if ands or buts about it. I'm running Auto RX in my 743B to clean up any sludge lying around inside. After about 50 hrs I'll drain the oil and replace the filter and do it again. Then I plan on running a smaller amount with every oil change there...

    Moving a Dead 722

If it's only a short distance. Try holding the levers depending on which way you want to go. While you crank/turn the engine over. It will move as it cranks. Just hope the battery will last long enough to get her out of the way.
