Hi, We purchase a Takeuchi a year a ago and the dip stick broke off in the sump and the machine was over fill in oil which is why we had to replace the head gasket and get the head machine. Now our problem is that it does have power when under load (pushing) The air filters have been change, The fuel filter has been check, The values have been check and adjusted, The turbo has been check and still having issues. At a lost what to do next and doesnt seem to be many dealers in Australia that know to much about Takeuchui TL 230 series 2. Any feed back or advice would be appreciated

Good Morning Bobcat Dan, The motor is a Kobota. Thanks for your reply and assistance. Jen
If the issues are engine based, you are better off talking to a Kubota dealer than the the dealer.
You checked the fuel filter, better off changing it.
Remove the air intake to the turbo and make sure it spins easily without any play.

Does the unit start good? If not I'd wonder about compression. If it starts good and you know the fuel and filter is good, maybe the wastegate on the turbo is hanging open not allowing it to build boast. If that seems fine and compression is good, I'd look at the injection pump and injectors.

Is this engine is tier 4 engine? Is it has EGR sistem? If have - check the EGR valve vacuum port and hoses to it - must be clean and free of oil.

Here is some of the details and testing preformed The machine was accidentally over filled with oil and had to have the head gasket replace. Got it back and had a overheating issue. The head gasket needing replacing again and the head machine. When we got the machine back it has lack on power in low or high. Test perform Check timing fuel pump, valve clearance, return line, bypass furl line, changes electrical fuel pump, injected pump tested, boost pressure 11PSI, compression test, hyd filter ok, pilot pressure ok, drive motor relief pressure, flow test - drive pumps. No engine or exhaust smoke Takechui did not import these machines into Australia so knowledge or assistance is poor. We have spent $$ and still machine is not working. I would really appreciated some help advice or direction. Jenny ([email protected])

Hi, The EGR value has been disconnected with little improvement Test perform Check timing fuel pump, valve clearance, return line, bypass furl line, changes electrical fuel pump, injected pump tested, boost pressure 11PSI, compression test, hyd filter ok, pilot pressure ok, drive motor relief pressure, flow test - drive pumps. One last idea, some Kubota's used the head gasket as a shim on some engines. Depending, you had a choice of 3 or gaskets that were different thickness. There were markings on the old gasket and that was how you determine which one you needed. Could using the wrong gasket cause a problem like yours, I don't know.
