ls 160 runs for 15mins then won't start back up

I have a LS160 that will run for about 15 mins then when I idle it down it will stall and won't start back up. Fuel pump works fine. It does smoke white smoke alittle (think it may be a valve problem). Any ideas?

Before you do anything else, change both fuel filters.

I have already changed both filters and have a good fuel flow to the injector pump.

What do you do to get it restarted? When it fails to start is there smoke coming out of the exhaust when cranking the engine? No smoke no fuel, smoke low compression. Did the engine recently overheat?
