I have a few questions about a 940 E i've been working on. The previous owner seemed to have neglected some of the regular maintainence amazed it was running as good as it was, never saw an air or fuel filter gunked up so bad. So I'm changeign out all the fluids and all new filters, and new fuel lines to fix up some fuel leaks. 1.Where is the second hydraulic filter at? It lists it as having 2 filters found the obvious one in the back couldnt find a second one. 2.it looks like it was once equiped with Auxillary hydraulic, two capped off lines in the back on the right side of the engine and on the spool valves iit look like there should be a lever or somthing attache to the bottom (3rd) valve and there is nothing there anymore. So did the 940e's come with auxillary hydarualics? if so 3. What would be the best way to get the Aux hydraulics back? 4.What is the easiest way to figure out the year of my 940E? Thank you for any and all help.

The 940 has one hyd filter under the floor plate(under your feet),which is the charge pressure filter, the one in the engine bay is the return filter. You will have to inspect the hyd lines on the aux to find out if the pipes are ok,most of the time they are capped is because of oil leaks,e.g. blown hose or pipe . The lever should me simple to make I do not think you can still buy it . I can give you the mustang part numbers . The year of the 940e in Australia is 1994-1995 if you can give me the serial number I can work it out . Don't forget to change the chain case oil.

Any part numbers for the aux hydraulic would greatly be appreciated. The serial # is 3450692. Yep the chain case oil is on the list of things to do along with fixing the parking brake and adjusting the chaind
