my serial 445937D what year is mine? I am buying another one that doesn't have a tag everything looks the same except some electric upgrades. hydraulics look the same engine. the only thing that stands out is mine says on side of machine says mustang 940. the new one has mustang picture (horse) anyone no what year that could be. want to swap some parts.

Be wary of machines with no tags. It's a red flag that it could be stolen.

that is most likely a mustang 940e they were only made in 95, was same as 940 but with electronic safety lok outs
rather than mechanical, they then started the 2000 series loaders in 96

yes they are, biggest issue they had if they sat out in the weather, they had some problems with getting water in
chaincase simply because the bolts holding the top access cover in place could loosen
then it would allow water to get into the chaincase, could get expensive to replace bearings etc was a time consuming job. other than that they would run for many thousands of hrs
