`I have recently bought a 1993 743B with a v2203 Kubota in it with 3100 hrs on the clock. I have read in other postings that this motor has more HP than the original and could overheat and damage the pump. Can anyone tell me how much more power the 2203 has than the v17or1902 and should I be concerned. I only use it in the winter for snow moving so it doesn't get much use. I put 127 hrs in 11 years on my old 732, 25 this year alone. Any other thoughts or things I should look for would be appreciated. Thanks

The 1702 has 36hp the 2203 has 51hp just run it 1/2 to 3/4 throttle and don't over push it should be fine

Not all 2203 have the same hp. Some machines that run stock 2203's have inconsistent hp ratings I don't know why. But some are listed as 43, others 46 and the turbo models obviously more.
