Hi!
I have a 1999 New Holland LX565 skid steer. All of the hydraulics work fine except for the tilt of the bucket (up extremely slow – down is working better but very slow ). The lift arm work fine.

>> it operate better/normally when both pedals are being used at the same time<<

I wonder if the return line could have problem? That might explain why it will work with both pedals, one would be open to be used as return.?? How to check it? Any ideas?

Last I do:
> i change filter and Hydraulic Oil
> I change (after I recently break them) the hydraulic hoses from the bucket line
> seat belt and seat pressure don t lock any movement
> no error/fault code in the display

What would be the best way to check for restrictions in the line and fittings?

Never really saw a restriction like you're describing. Are you sure the valve spool is getting moved the full amount? Very common for the foot pedal pivot and linkage to get corroded and hard to move the full stroke. This is what I see most common with my loaders when one function is slow.

I have had a similar issue intermittently on my 2010 L175. Occasionally bucket would raise extremely slow but drop normally - or vise versa. When I was performing the neutral adjustment I noticed a bunch of dirt / stones all over the valve body (and under the valve rods) in front of the seat. I cleaned all this out and have not had this issue in over a year.

Thank you!

the first I was checking is around the main valve (cleaning) and pedal command .. No chance here … all is in order ☹…

Now it start to be worth = very difficult to tilt "up" like if something is inside the main valve circuit strangling the hydraulic way to tilt the bucket "up" ( tilt down is working).

I doble check your advice and go back with the results…

Have a nice day! Regards

Ok. Also, another thought, if it has auxiliary hydraulics (couplers on the LH boom & a RH handle that tilts with the wrist to activate them) they have priority over the regular hydraulics. Meaning that if the auxiliary hydraulics are activated you will have little or no boom & bucket control. I don't know what the symptoms would be if the auxiliary hydraulics are only partially activated but it could make the machine hydaulics sound like they are under load when they are doing nothing. So, if it has auxiliary hydraulics check that the RH handle lever is in neutral and that the spool it controls is centered also.

There is another thread about an LS180 having the same type of problems. In that case, they already checked everything I mentioned to you above. Here is what I suggested next for them. It may be the next step for you:

"Given all of that, one would have to believe it is sending oil to the cylinders. Can you notice the hoses move some (flex) when you try to tilt the bucket? You could disconnect a hose and see if oil flies when you move the valve. Just make sure you think through all the safety issues there. Finally, if there's oil getting to the cylinders then the seals on one of the pistons inside of the cylinders must be bad leaving oil by. New Holland does sell a rebuild kit. If you have a big pipe wrench and a serious impact gun I can tell you how we went about rebuilding ours. For us, the seal where the rod comes out of the cylinder would usually fail. Very seldom did the piston seals cause us issues, but that could be a difference in how the machines are used."
