is the whining o.k.?

i notice that both my 250 and 763 sort of whine, especially both the left levers when pushing forward to turn right, it's a little worse when cold and when i'm too low on throttle but still does it somewhat when warmed up , is this basically normal? steve

Yes, a certain amount of whining is normal, although it should be avoided as much as possible by allowing for warm up and keeping the RPM's up high enough to minimize it as much as possible. Of course if the whining is coming from the operator, there isn't much that can be done about that as most seem to whine a little.
