Is there a good power supply for the 7 pin plug

I understand the 7pin is a can bus type system, but I read somewhere that you shouldn't use the 7 pin to supply power to a non bobcat type attachment.

Here's the background/question: I have a hydraulic winch box that has a power/ground (red/black) wire that powers the solenoids that control the winch in/out functions. When we built/tested the setup, we used a John Deere 331 skid steer. We ran the red/black wires down the loader arms and connected them straight to the machines battery.

I bought a 7 pin adapter thinking I could just wire the solenoid red/black wires into the adapter and plug it into the machine. However, I can't find a schematic and ever since I read that comment about potentially frying something on the machine I'm a little gun shy.

The comment did mention lifting the cab and using an accessory connector near the left side pumps 🤷🏻‍♂️

So can I just wire into the harness adapter I bought or should I look for a power source under the cab?

Any help would be appreciated.

The 7 pin adapter converts from can bus to 12v power.
For things like snowblowers and other attachments, the 12v signals are used to control solenoids.
And that is exactly what you are trying to do. So I don't see a problems.

You should be able to get an pin out from whoever made the adapter. They should also have a max amp rating for the adapter.
I'd just double check the amp draw of the winch solenoids to be sure, but they should be not much.
After that it should be as simple as hooking up wires.

10-4 thank you for the reply

lol, I just watched the Watch Wes Work winch video yesterday. Very cool winch.
Is that the one you are trying to hook up?
Indeed it is. Check out the wiring on my current video where me and C&C equipment actually hook it up and pull with it. You can see us wire it up. 👍

Ok, I totally get what your doing now. Solenoids on a hydraulic control valve.
You should have no problem hooking the adapter directly to them.
That's exactly how snowblowers work.

Great video. That's my kind of content.

I appreciate that, because us Florida boys ain't too familiar with snowblowers😂. I worked it up today but haven't tested it yet. I'll do that tomorrow. 👍

IMPOSSIBLE!!! WINCH BOX PULLS 80,000lbs!?!

I asked WATCH WES WORK to build this for me! He did not disappoint!

One video is the build, the other is the winch getting the hydraulic connections and wiring put together.
