Flat faced couplings, do you have to have them?

I was just wondering if you have to use them or can you use the standard pioneer ag couplings? And will they fit? This would be for a regular flow machine. The flat ones are expensive compared to the ag ones. Thanks

Mine has the ag couplers, when I rent attachments I just remove the flats and install the ag's......then reinstall the flats before returning. The only benefit to the flats are no dirt, but thats what a rag and good house keeping is for

You don't have to have them. We converted ours to Ag style ones as well.
Other than their ease of cleaning, the other princple benefit of the FF couplers is their low air inclusion when they are coupled. Ag couplers will inject some air into the circuit when they are coupled, but it will work it's way out over time.

There are adapters available, if you have to switch back and forth. Not sure where the best place to find them.
