First of all, I've been a JD CT322 owner for past 3 years. Glad I found this forum that's skidsteer focused! I have an 06 322 with only 1350 hours on the clock. It's been used for general landscape duties. Last week the rh side drive motor blew up, contaminating the entire system. Short of the long is the repair bill is going to be about 18K, and the machine is only worth about 20. Not worth fixing. My question are: is this a common issue with the machine? (especially with such low hours) How many relatively trouble free hours do you have on your CT322. Guess the main reason I'm asking is do I buy another machine of the same and keep this one for a lifetime supply of parts, or do I move to another brand.... Thank you.

If you have the time, tools and mechanical ability I would think you could replace both drive motors and pumps with rebuilt for less than that. check with loader parts source for prices of parts.

Hi Jerry, Thanks for your reply. I've checked with every place imaginable and there don't seem to be any rebuilds, for this particular model. Although one can buy a seal kit??? Anyway, thanks again and I'll see if someone else chimes in.....

Did you call LPS they have some great folks there and one lazy one can't find all on the website

Hi, yes I did get in touch with LPS. Thank you. Not much luck there.... Thought owning a CTL would be a whole lot more fun than this. :)
Hi Canuck
I have the same machine with a little over 1000hrs and haven't had any trouble with anything in the hyd. system. I don't think it is a common problem. Hope you find a replacment motor soon. They are too good of a machine to scrap. Larry

Hi Larry, thanks for your thoughts. Yes I agree, that one went too early..... Problem is I need 2 motors. :( Guess my biggest dilemma is A guy 2 towns over has one for sale for $22K CAN with 1100 hrs. on it. That is a wicked price point for the local market. I'm obviously hesitant to go after that one but it's tempting. The next best thing out there is a T190 with similar hours for 32K, same year.

When I searched for your drive motor there are a few places that claim to have them. this is one http://www.final-drive.com/. Seems to be a few machines for sale with bad motors in them but that goes for all equipment, you only hear about the bad ones.
