caterpillar 247b hesitates turning left

i have a caterpillar 247b an while driving it turns to the right no trouble but turning left it sometimes takes 3 to 4 seconds before it will turn you have to stop and wait. sometimes if you let go of the joystick and try again it will go but if driving and turning left you can just hold it all the way to the left wait and then it will go does anyone know what this problem may be ???
