I have a 2001 bobcat 773 with 1500 hours that will lockdown while you are moving. Now most of the time it will stay locked down and you will have to press the traction release fuction in order to move it. It also then shuts down in a matter of seconds. The selenoids are not bad and no bad wiring. Has anyone else had this problem ? And if so what was the remedy. Thanks

Have you checked the seat and seat bar sensors? it will lock you out if it detects you have lifted the seat bar or gotten up from the seat.

2001 probably doesn't have a seat sensor, but make sure the seat bar pivot bolts are tight. It doesn't take much play in the sensor for it to 'think' the bar has been raised. If there is a seat sensor, make sure that the area between the seat and the cab is clear of debris. Also check for loose wiring connector at the bics controller beside the seat.

OK mrfixitpaul I will make sure the pivot bolts are tight and I'll check the wiring you are refering to and get back to you. Thank you so much. overdrive

OK Taza and mrfixitman I have replaced the seat sensor and the bar sensor matters have just gotten worse. I'm loading it up and taking it to the Bobcat place to see if now the computor needs reprogamed and see if that will resolve the problem. I will let you know what the end results is. Thanks overdrive

Hey did you find out what the issue is; I have the same 773 and it does the same exact thing
Do you have an enclosed cab? I had the same problem with mine. I noticed my seat bar sensor was damaged. I replaced it and still had the same problem. I finally discovered that when my side window was open and pushed all the way back it would occasionally bump on the seat sensor and freeze the machine up. I hope your problem is that simple. I had a 2000 773 turbo g with ahc controls. I sold it because it had a lot of computer problems. Had to replace the ahc computer twice in 200 hours... Very expensive

I bypassed the seat bar sensor but still the same thing ; i ordered the brake and traction sensor under the cab; hopefully it works but i keep you all updated

How long has it been since you bypassed the seat sensor? Ive heard it's not the easiest thing to do.

Firstly I am assuming you checked your Voltage and charging? If your voltage drops to around 11 volts the machine will lock u, and brake will come on. Check battery and charging??
I replaced the battery and alternator and redid some wiring that was burned out
