bobcat 773 g float position

the bobcat has a float position, but should it lock down like my loader does or should I have to hold the left pedal down to maintain the float position.

You should just have to push the toe of the pedal forward, and it should lock in that position, till you kick it out with your heel.

My 763 G sereies floats but does not lock in position. I wish it did though. Maybe its out of adjustment.
