    S250 fan rubbing on shroud

Did you have the hyd. drive fan? I think I seen a service bulletin on the spacers inside the fan shround, they need to be updated to the fatter, newer style ones, this kit may be free from bobcat, check with them with your serial number.

    Jerky Steering

Check the arms on the pump, they come loose on the square shafts, also check all those roller bearings on those arms, they wear out, then readjust nuetral.

S185 buttons on the joystick unusable

Most all the buttons on the joystick will never be used, they are for options. standard machines will only use the right joystick, trigger and side to side thumb switch, left side horn only.

    751 BICS problem

Also, your machine has codes, you need to get the service manual and read the flashes on that controller behind your right arm. Does that controller still have the picture of the seat on it? If it does, you need to update.

    751 BICS problem

Do you still have the seat switch in your machine, Bobcat updated this system, you need to buy the update kit, it will come with a new display controller. Also those seat bar switches are touchy, make sure none of the plastic parts are broken, the magnets must line up properly.Do not put 12...

bobcat drive motor seal and fan gearbox gears

It's good that you changed your case drains, they protect your pump after one or both of your drive motor[s] fails. They will not stop the oil from getting into your chaincase. Your motor is pressured up and the chaincase has no pressure, once your seal blows, you need to change out that carrier...

    Bobcat 873 Starting Problem

Sorry one more thing about these old duetz's , when they sit for a while those injection pumps lock up. Clean them up real good, expensive to replace.

    Bobcat 873 Starting Problem

Also when your timing belt jumped, it probably took out 1 or 2 pushrods, these engines have no interference valves. they hit the pistons when the timing belt skips or breaks.

    Bobcat 873 Starting Problem

Are we talking about that duetz engine? Did you properly time the injection pumps, and the timing belt with all the duetz tools? This is the most critical parts of that engine.

t190 really hard start -- white smoke

Sounds like a cracked head, pull your head and clean it, check for cracks between the valves, also check the corner of the head, they are known to crack where the blue o'ring is, but usually leaks to the outside of the head. Did you ever get any codes for overheating? You would need to bring it...

    i feel dumb for asking......

I flipped up cabs and found mud filled to the top. Just make sure you keep your radiator and hyd. cooler as clean as possble on the job. Wash out your machine before you bring it back to your shop. That's why the owners manuals only give you general maintenence guidelines based on your...

    Bobcat over the tyre tracks

Make sure your chaincase is filled with good fluid, and in good shape. Those strap on tracks destroy chaincases. I have rebuilt about 30 chaincases, all due to track usage and newer models with 2 speed beind used in wrong conditions. If a Bobcat came with 4 tires, it was designed for only 4 tires.

The rollers should be perfectly round, no flat spots.
