    Fuel gauge resistence values

Those readings look fishy too me. It should be a span from low res to high res........Yours at mid range look off. Those gauges are extremely fussy, the ground is very important. Before replacing, try running a temp ground wire from battery direct to sender unit, and try again. If the readings...

connecting schulte snowblower to s185 bobcat

I say hold the phone: If you stated it is just a winch motor that provides the shut movement? Take a look at those winch leads, notice size of copper conductors? Now take a look at your 7 or 14 pin connector conductors? You go from a conductor rated close to 80 amps, down to your skids poor...

    S185 Glow Plug Replacement

It may be the fuel could have started to gel. I did not add additive for that on last fill, just the moisture treatment stuff. It would be nice just to put in new plugs, but not for $125 just to say I did it. I would be gelling was starting to happen. I will keeping trying to find a cross for...

    S185 Glow Plug Replacement

So went out today to fire machine up in 10deg. temps. Glow plugs timed out at 20 sec. and away we normally go. Instead today took way too long for engine to fire. Somewhere between 30-45 seconds. Granted it has sat for 2-3 months, a little white smoke and finally off we go. So I check voltage to...

    Back-up Alarm on Bobcat S160

My S185 "had" an issue blowing fuses, etc, and here is what I have found. Make sure the fuse "alt" is not blown, but I will assume you have already done this. Make sure you have +12v to ground at switch's with machine running. Next, knowing fuse is good, alarm is wired and works as you stated...

    Accessory cable male plug wiring

DR. My service manual as all ours has the pinout diagram for from ACC. connector yes. But.... I bet what original poster is looking at is colored wires, going to A terminal, B terminal, C terminal, etc. These wires "may" have the numbers on them. I would bet $$$ these "color codes are no where...

    Accessory cable male plug wiring

I am with Tazza. Just not used that much anymore. In my service manual, no there is no pin-out diagram of that front ACC. connector. That may have to come straight from local dealer shop. I can't believe you couldn't stop in and tell them you just need a diagram? Maybe buy some oil or other item...

    S130 Charging

Fire the machine up, you should have 14v+ across battery. If so, alternator is just fine. But, I have a sneaky suspicion your alt/kits fuse is bad or at least a connection for it. That fuse when blown, will illuminate the battery light, as well as no horn or backup alarm will work. As stated in...

    Alternator & Accessories

On my S185 I had that same issue from time to time. Took me forever to figure it out. Yes I looked at the horn switches, then looked at front side assy. connector. Follow and unhook the front side assy. cable at machine down by battery and see if it still blows? Could have rubbed the wires near...

    Best tires/wheels for a 773G turbo?

I went with the Solideal Extra-Wall 10ply......They seem pretty nice for the $$$. I paid $155/e installed so I thought that was fair. I also thought about Galaxy brand, but went with the Sloideal. Prepare yourself now......The country of mfg. stamped on my tires say "Sri-Lanka"......Would rather...

    643 starting issues

Sounds like you already answered your own problem: If the machine seems to start hard as well as "creep", your machine just needs to have its "neutral" position adjusted so no longer creeps. I will assume this should aid in easier starting as well not loading engine up right away.

    Sealing chaincase covers on S185

I got the front and rear ones done. No gaskets were used. I used Blue RTV silicon from Napa Auto. Water, Oil, Gas resistant, etc. I believe you are correct (7LBS) that those gaskets weep. I was not impressed at all. Needless to say, getting that rear cover on without wearing most of the silicon...

    Sealing chaincase covers on S185

The oil level is at proper height. They are no other seals going out filling chain case with extra oil if that is your thought? I drive it up/down a fairly steep ditch from time to time sloshing it around, I'll assume this is when oil weeps out of bad gaskets and eventually finds itself on shop...
