    Clark 632 Valve Guide Intake?

The similar motor to the Kent 1.6 was the Ford Fiesta 1.6 from 1978 to 1980. The heads are interchangeable and can be used but the Bobcat runs a 1.500" diameter intake valve and the Fiesta ran a 1.400". this is probably due to the cam size. You should be able to get the guides for yours using...

    732 1.6L ford engine compatability

Hi, just checked back and saw your posts. The bell housing is the same, you will have to make a modification to the motor mounts no big deal though. you are right about the oil pan and timing cover. you will need to use the one from the bobcat engine along with the oil pan. the spacer is .250...

The Engine in your Bobcat is a kent 1.6. It's similar to the 1978-80 ford fiesta with some minor changes to the block, water pump and head. The heads are almost identical aside from the Bobcat having slightly larger valves. you can use a Fiesta head gasket as this doesn't change when talking...

Advice in buying a 742 please

The rotor, points, condenser and cap are all Bobcat direct from dealer. The wires can be purchased for a 1978 Ford Fiesta as some of the parts are interchangeable. The distributer for the fiesta was electronic so nothing will cross reference. As for the one vacuum hose, this is your vac advance...

    Engine removal on 642

I have a 742, similar to yours and just did a head gasket 2 months ago. You don't need to remove the engine but you do need to take the intake, exhaust manifold, governor belt, governor bracket, thermostat housing and hoses off. It takes about 4 to 5 hours to do total. Make sure you change teh...

    742 control panel

Thanks, do you know which one is oil pressure and which is hydo pressure or oil temp? Also, I thought they were the wedge type as well but they are a miniture 1157 or 1057, which are push and turn similar to a brake light bulb but really small. If anyone has a number, that would be very helpful.

    Cab heater

I mounted mine in the upper left side of the rear window. I used copper elbows exiting from the rear with brass barbed connectors then soldered them together facing right if your looking at the rear of the bobcat. Then I ran heater hose through the hole in the middle just above the radiator. I...

    Cab heater

I made one for my 742 using a heater core from a chevy chevette and a blower motor out of a dodge w150 and mounted it in a metal housing. I hooked it up with the bypass hose going to the intake and it works great. Chevette heater cores are the smallest on the market so they fit perfectly.
