i have a backhoe for my 610 that needs a rebuild. i have a lathe and a mill. the question is how doen one repair the oversize holes in the various parts. how do you bore and sleve something that is too big to get on the mill

any ideas what i can use for a muffler for my old 610? she just rusted out in the back and it gets pretty hot back there. like set the seat on fire. i slipped a coffee can over it till i get something else. YA its a folgers. thanks Guys. Dan way up there in northern maine

yes the ones on the part that is about one inch in dia and 4 inches long that controls the flow. sorry i don't know all the correct names of the parts. i'm not much of a mechanic but i try. i'll pull the floorboard and try to get a pic. thanks tazza
tazza i took the valve assy apart and replaced the o rings that are on the pistons that control the flo dir. ie up down. are there other o rings that i missed? i call this old girl etrouble but when she is running it sure does a lot of work for me thanks for your response dan
thanks old machinest. what happened i think is that the drive belt grabbed a handful of wires and ate them. my ability to troubleshoot wireing is limited. no brain i guess. not much original as far as wireing. i did replace the alternator and got it charging but i really need to stop using her...
Tazza...where would load checks be located in the system? i haven't seen any reference to them in the manual but i may have missed it. like a check valve? this girl has very little external leakage. when i first got her she leaked all over a little but soon stopped as the seals found a home...
the uppy downey and tilt valves seem to be passing buy and causing creaping. i honed and replaced the tilt valve seals with no improvement. any fix or rebuilding of the valves? for what i use it for it is not a big issue but it is like sunburn, you just have to keep picking at it.
Jerry the book shows a spline but as sloppy as the left one is i think it is washed off. good idea on the shim though. I'll try turning a thin tube and drive it in there and then tighten it. i suppose I'm going to have to bite the bullet and get into the chain drive pretty soon. I've been...
