on my 330 it was just an easy tap out with a dowel after removing the retaining bolts. Is it possible someone snuck in a roller pin of some sort to act as a spacer for a smaller diameter bolt than what should be used?
Got the job done Sat. It was actuaaly a very easy fix. It took me more time to make the right "tool" to install it than to do the job. I used a piece of PVC with a joining collar. The redi sleeve fit perfectly in side the collar with just a little play. It was easy to tap the sleeve into place...
At bowling last night I asked one of my teamates who has been a longtime mechanic. He said they used them a lot at the bus garage and they work great. JUST BE SURE TO GET THEM ON STRAIGHT!!!!!!!
Just wondering if anyone out there has ever used an easy sleeve to repair a shaft sealing surface. Was it an easy process? How well has it held up? Any advice would be appreciated.
I was just at a NAPA store and they were also telling me about a speedi sleeve. I had they axle with and they thought it was a good fix. Has anyone ever worked with these?
One of my drive wheels leaks past the seal because of the axle being pitted and worn a little. Wondering if filling the small imperfections with JB weld and smoothing would work. Also considered having it turned in a lathe to smooth it, but then I'd have to worry about finding the right size...
my 330 had a 24 hp onan nhc. Mine ran but had a bad knock and poor compression 1 cylinder. Looked into having it rebuilt, but it needed to be resleeved and the onan parts that would need to be purchased are rediculously expensive. I repowered with a 2011 25 hp kohler command pro that has been...
as far as painting- when I just did my 330 i was going to get a can of spray paint and just touch up the new motor mounts I welded in. For about $15more I got a whole gallon of rust o leum commercial/implement paint that was mixed close to my color at Menard's. At home i got a couple ounces of...
Just a tip if your older Mustang needs new power. After having mine sit under a tarp for a few years I decided i needed to bite the bullet and get it running. I researched all of the repower sights. I went to a rebuilder about getting the Onan rebuilt but i felt it was cost prohibitive because...
Is it possible that the arm where the linkage attaches to the got flipped from the top to the bottom (or vice versa) so it is actually going counter to what it should? Just thinking about my 330 without looking at it, I think this could happen. Otherwise, good luck!
One lift arm on my 330 has a small leak that I want to fix so I don't end up wiping up fluid all the time. Since I'm getting a whole kit and replacing everything while it's off, do I need to be concerned that one side will now be like new and the other still have the old parts. It seems to be...
The 330 I have was used in a barn. The tires are not very wide and I would like more floatation for working outdoors. Is there a wider tire or tire/rim combo I can put on a 330?
