On an "unrelated" note to my other thread...
What's the going rate for a 2001 773G, turbo diesel, high flow, 2K hours, with absolutely horrible paint (what's left of it, mostly rusty metal)? Seems to run and operate nicely. Rear stabilizers and standard loader bucket.

Go to this link and click on 773. It will bring up a current list of 773's currently for sale around the country. http://www.machinerytrader.com/drilldown/models.aspx?ETID=1&catid=1055&Manu=BOBCAT

That's a handy link. Thanks! It'll help me get a value for my ol' 743 as well.

Well, after viewing every 773 on MachineTrader... I'm not sure where I stand. I want to make sure I'm comparing apples-to-apples to be fair to the seller, but I don't want to pay too much. The serial on the 773 is 519017xxx which seems to put it on the older side of the 773G series. I'm not sure if that matters or not, but it does seem to matter quite a bit on my 743.
Another oddity are the graphics. It has the "standard" looking 773 graphics, with "turbo" above the 773, like this one:
http://www.machinerytrader.com/listingsdetail/detail.aspx?OHID=10038343
But below the 773 it has "high flow". I know, according to this link:
http://www.bobcat.com/historical_specs/skid_steer/773_1999
... that the Start of Production (SOP) for the 773G was 1999 and that high flow (27gpm) seems to be "standard". There are no standard flow figures given. Of all the 2001 773's on MachineTrader, I don't think I saw a single non-773K 500K model graphics. There were lots of 773's with no year listed, so maybe one of those was a non-773K 2001.
What am I getting at? Who knows. But I am starting to suspect that maybe the 773 I'm considering isn't a 2001, but maybe a 2000. Most of the 1999 models have a totally different graphic and the rear lifting arm has a different shape to it.
There is a 773C (SOP 1994) and 773 (SOP 1997), but I know this is a 773G, so it can't be as old as 1994.

If it has bad paint check the air filter. If it is really dirty it's a sign of poor maintenance. Bad paint doesn't always mean poor maintenance sometimes new paint is worse.

they probably just put the new decals on wrong, people do that all the time

Remember, bobcats weren't really manufactured in "years" like automobiles. Instead, when upgrades or modifications were made to a given model, a different serial number break would be created. Thats why the machines serial number is so important and not year. Always take a machines year with a grain of salt when looking at used machines. Many claims for a given year are not factual.

Jerry, I checked the air filter, but it is spotless. The previous owner noted all filter changes by writing the date on the filter with a marker. The inner and outer air filters, along with all fluid (oil, hydro, fuel) filters are dated April 2014.
Tom, I understand on the decals maybe being the wrong ones, but I couldn't find a single 773 on MachineTrader that had this decal. Must have been a very limited run of decals with this layout.
I went back today and ran through a full test drive/operate. Seems nice and tight. Engine runs well. No leaks that I can see from most angles. I went ahead and bought it. I'll be picking it up tomorrow. I mainly bought it for the extra hp and flow rate over my 743. After I finish the paint on the 743, it'll be for sale locally.

Your going to love the 773, its a proven workhorse.

Thanks Reaper. It's a big technological change from the 743. The LCD panel and operator codes are handy, but I still don't have the "start-up sequence" memorized. You have to punch about 5 buttons to get things started and rolling. It came with 12" wheels, but I think I'm going to swap to 10". The 12" probably give me a little extra speed, but the 10" should give me more torque. The engine is also turned 90* from the 743, which fills the engine compartment tightly. Not nearly as much room to get in and around to work on things.

The sideways engine is actually nice. Most everything you need to work on is starring you in the face plus no u-joint to grease! As far as the start up sequence, you must have the keyless code to punch in. The keyless code can be bypassed if you unlock the keypad, then just push the yellow button first, than the green start button, then the opposite green button to unlock the hydraulics.

Okay, I played with the 773 some last night. The deluxe panel is pretty nice and fairly intuitive. It even looks like I might be able to map thumb switch controls based on attachment. I configured a smaller unlock code for myself (easier to remember), so now the startup isn't too bad... like you said, right white button, enter code, right green button to start, left yellow button to unlock functions.
Something of concern is my 909 backhoe attachment doesn't seem to want to go on the 773. I'm fairly certain it was built specifically to not go on the 773 (and other models) as there are metal "wings" that protrude from the face of the Bobtach plate on the backhoe that keep my 773 plate from snapping in. I can obviously just cut the plates off, but I'm wondering why Bobcat would build that restriction. Is there a reason my 909 backhoe won't work on the 773?

I seem to be having a hard time finding replacement graphics for this 773. There's a seller on eBay that says he'll make a custom set, but he hasn't gotten back to me on price yet.

Anyone hear make/have graphics sets?

Believe it or not, English is my native language. I started to say "Anyone hear of a good place to obtain graphics", but changed my mind and forgot to correct the spelling. I don't know why this forum software can't handle post edits. In summary: Does anyone here have a source for graphic sets? Thanks.

Also, while I'm thinking of it, can the keypad membrane on the deluxe panel be replaced? Several of my more commonly used keys are worn almost all the way through. I certainly can't read them and I can barely tell what color they are.

Finally, after searching Google images for longer than I'd like to admit, I found another 773 with turbo/high flow graphics.

Now if I can just find a sticker kit...

Kit #15 here is close maybe you can see if they can add the high flow.

Bobcat part number 6727913 is for just the high flow sticker. It was a separate item because high flow was a option.

Thanks for the link OldMachinist. I had stumbled across that in my searches, but passed it up because I didn't realize what you stated below...
OldMachinist: "Kit #15 here is close maybe you can see if they can add the high flow."
I'll drop them an email. If they can get me what I need cheaper than my usual source, maybe I'll give them a shot. They are certainly priced higher, but maybe they use better material.

That makes sense, I guess, but turbo was an option too. I would assume the "normal" decal set was the 773 and the blue hashs. Add turbo option, add blue turbo hash sticker. Add high flow option, add blue high flow hash sticker.

The stickers don't make them run any better
