This is a tree and fence post puller I built last year. Most of the frame is 4x4x1/2" tubing, the jaws and pivot plates are 3/4"x6" plate. I used an open center 1/2" thick skid steer plate and kept the center open for better visibility to the jaws. The cylinder is a 3x8" cylinder from the Surplus Center as are the hoses. The jaw pivots on a 1 1/2" grade 8 bolt with a lock nut, there is a 1/2" wall bushing in the jaw with a grease zerk and the cylinder ends also have zerks. The receiver hitch tube in the frame is so I can add a hydraulic wire winder when I get around to building one.

Fixed the pictures for you
I like the attachment, you don't have any issues of if bending when pulling up with it?
Love the jaws, how did you make them? if i did it, i'd be there for hours or days grinding the teeth

Thanks you! No issues with it bending and I've used it pretty hard on our 85hp 2,000lb capacity machine. I cut the jaws out of a piece of 3/4"x6" plate with a torch and cleaned them up a little bit with a grinder.

Looks very nice. I haven't had the need to pull many posts but I could use that for cleaning up after the dozer. Does the cylinder have enough force to shear small trees or just enough to grab and pull. Pics of it in action would be great.

That is well done with a torch and grinder.
It must be pretty strong being used on that machine, if that doesn't bend it, nothing will :)

It is strong enough to shear smaller tree's off, takes a little practice to be able to pull small stuff without breaking them off first. Works best when the ground is wet.
