Hello All, First post here. I hope someone can help. I am on a govt. job that they require the machine to have a horn. I see the wiring in the foot well right by a black plastic pop out plug in the front of the machine that I would imagine a horn would be placed. It is a 2 wire plug, black and white wires. I have looked under the cab for a matching wire combo and don't see anything. I am pretty sure that that they all have wiring for all options and than the dealer will whack you for an add on and all they have to do is plug and play. Can anyone advise as to how to make this work? Thanks The machine is a 07 T190 with hand controls.

My S150 came standard with a horn hooked up to the left handle trigger, could yours already be wired for it?
Not sure if it needs to be enabled in the computer by the dealer though.

I would check the fuse panel for a open space.for a horn. Like tazza said left trigger is typically where horn goes a test light would show what's going.on

it all there minus the horn might need a 14 inch harness but yes its plug and play.,, but seriously where is the harm in picking up the phone and calling dealear. and asking for a quote on horn installation, and possibly a back up alarm. both OSHA @ MISHA. have strict requirements. if youre lucky enough to get a govt contract (pay well and are steady.and if you perform well will get call backs) REALLY? get a paper trail. as in recently serviced by authorized bobcat dealer. all routine maint and safety checks. done. than its not on you., unless youre scared of what a proffensiol is going to say about youre maint pratices.

Thanks for the replies guys. The wiring is there where the horn should be, just don't see anything obvious under the cab. Will go to dealer today to discuss. And, 7lbs, take a chill pill. No need to get confrontational here. Obviously have some kind of ax to grind regarding dealers, etc. But here is not the forum for that.

CapeT190, since you only have two posts here, you're perhaps not familiar yet with the wealth of info available on this forum. We are blessed with a few really knowledgeable techs here, and 7lbssmalie is one of the best. He's extremely well versed in Bobcat fixin' and goes out of his way to offer both tech info and advice. He has little spare time to devote to this forum, but does what he can do, much to the benefit of the rest of us. I cut him lots of slack if he doesn't spend time trying to select the right words. I'm after his thoughts and insights, and that's what means the most to me. I value his inputs highly. :) ---Bobbie-G

The MACHINE HAS to have an OEM mounted horn . Is that what the safety inspector said ? I was thinking perhaps a handheld alarm device , the kind used by boaters would be permitted .
