I have a 2012 t190 skidsteer. The Stop button on the deluxe keypad stopped working so I ordered a replacement membrane. Yesterday i took the whole keypad out opened it up and replaced the membrane. Now when I press enter everything powers up as it normally would, it asked for my code which I punch in and hit enter and it works, then it says press start to run as normal but when I press start nothing happens. I have left the battery unhooked for hours, no change, I have gone into the keypad diagnostics and confirmed the start key is recognized along with all the others. The comm test passes, (and when you hit enter the radio, fan, and everything else turns on). All the boards are the same I just replaced the membrane. Does anyone know what would be wrong? It ran perfect right before changing the membrane.

What membrane you talking about? Is it possible that you blew a fuse? Did you had the battery unhooked when you took the panel out??

The keypad membrane on the deluxe panel. The one you use to enter your code and start the machine. I checked the fuses in the fuse panel and they are all good. That was the first thing I checked because I didn't unhook the battery and figured maybe I blew a fuse.

Ok where you got this membrane from, because I never heard of that. Did you plug everything back in correctly? These connectors are sometimes a little stubborn.

It's aftermarket. Yes it's all plugged in correctly. It's only 1 ribbon cable. Can't do it wrong. And when I go into diagnostics on the keypad I can test the buttons and they all work and show up on the screen. To get to the screen they have to go from the button through the cable, through the board and onto the screen so I know the board can understand the buttons on the membrane.

OK, tell me step by step what you did... and is it possible that the battery might be too low in charge? What does the display do when you press start?

Started the machine and drove it closer to my garage so it was closer to my tools. Shut it off. Removed the keypad housing. Brought it in the garage. Took it apart. Removed the board to access the ribbon connector. Unplugged old membrane and removed membrane. Fed new membrane ribbon through and stuck membrane down. Plugged in new ribbon cable. Reinstalled the board. New silicone on the board enclosure and put it back together. Reinstalled in machine. Pressed "enter" machine electronics all came in and it asked for code. "Entered code". Then it started beeping and turned on the glow plugs and says press start to run. Pressed "start" and nothing happens. Display still just says press start to run. No beeping, no error codes. Went into diagnostics mode on keypad by pressing right and left arrow at the same time. Performed button test and all buttons worked, performed comm test and it passed, went into active alarms and nothing there, unhooked battery and left unhooked for 4 hours. No change. Checked fuses in the fuse panel by my feet. All are good. Battery is fully charged.

Did you check the starter relay? Swap that relay for another one, like the headlight relay that you know is working. It's an easy test, good luck.

I feel like something went wrong inside the panel. Something is not seated correctly, because that is all what you did.
Do you hear any relay clicking when you press start?
