I wanted to get a plow for my skidsteer. So I looked around locally, but didn't like anything I saw. They were all the same. They either used a lift chain, or a solid lift bar. I've heard plenty of people say that they didn't like either option. The chain always seems to break when your stacking snow, and the solid bar seems to put to much down pressure on the plow itself.
So I got an old Western truck plow, and borrowed a design that Trihonu came up with. I'm new to the site, so many of you might already know this. But he was really helpful. He answered all my questions, and even posted some templates for me. Thanks again!
So I got the steel from a local junk yard and made it happen. The only difference with mine is, I also attached a trailer hitch to the top of it, so I could move trailers in the summer.
I have some pic's, but it's torn apart for paint. I should have some finish pic's next week.
