I bought a used Western plow and converted it to my skid steer. I have about $650 in it including having it shot blasted, repainted and a new heavy duty curved cutting edge. Here are the you videos. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iamGcqJFHtY https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FdDk68PZtVI

how did you end up slowing it down?
I was thinking about how to convert the plow into a loader, and came across this branch. There is a cold ahead, and I see no reason to spend money buying a separate snow blower, and it will also need to be serviced. And under this video, I found a solution on how to do it. It says "I added an orifice" and there are other videos, so thanks a lot! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NJtgN6r15Q4

I know this is an older thread, but I wanted to add my thought in case they help anyone else.
Adding an orifice really is the wrong way to slow down a truck plow when used on a skid steer.
I spent a lot of time researching this as I use a western unimount on my skid.
After mine breaking twice, I finally decided to fix it the right way and haven't had a problem since.

If you will share "the right way" your post will be far more useful.
