The new G series looks some much like a Bobcat its laughable. I guess they got tired of copying New Holland. I noticed Deere getting Bobcat like with the D series with how they set up the cab. I frankly hate the D series overall so I have little faith Deere made a winner with the G series

The frames really do look like Bobcat.....
First picture I saw was a track machine and all I said was holy fuck they painted a T190 yellow. If Bobcat has any patents on the design, I'd be talking to legal if I was them. Only thing Deere kept their own in the boom design is their H frame design that cracks all the time. I just got done with a curse fest job on our D series so Deere isn't high in my opinion right now. Only thing I see Deere having going for them right now is being back to running Yanmars. That is if teir 4 didn't total fuck up Yanmar like it did to Kubota.

Maybe Bobcat unloaded their pre-M-series tooling to JD - LOL!!
Sad to say, but this emissions crap is destroying perfectly good diesel engines....

Stopped and looked at a 317G today. Yeah it's pretty bobcatish. Have to say I kinda like it mainly because it did away with many of the the things I hate about our 326D. First the front of the cab is metal, not plastic. No engine side panels. We are on like set number six because they fall off the 326D all the time. Also you can easily check hydraulic fluid compared to the stupidest sigh gauge set up ever on the 326D. From what I read, the G series is a Vaule line ment to be lighter and a little cheaper then the E series.

Just found these videos on the new John Deere skid steers. I saw them earlier this week in person at the rental show in Atlanta. I was pleased with the bobcat copy. Foot well clean outs. Hope to demo one soon.

Thanks SkidRoe. Could not figure out how to fix links or edit my posts. Finally found one of the Deere skid steers on a dealer's lot. It was the 318G. Vertical lift Bobcat S185 copy. Hand and foot controls. The Yamar diesel started and ran great, no DEF but does have DPF with regen. Easy to see out the rear window. Side visibility is similar to the Bobcat. Low entry and exit. Great visibility of bucket edge. Downfalls. The machine was very bouncy. Of course, I was driving on blacktop. The hydraulics shuddered when I was lowering the arms and driving around. This is the same problem that Kubota told me that they had to correct before they released their wheel skid steer. The main reason that I was looking at these machines was to add to the rental fleet. John Deere gave me very aggressive pricing at the American Rental Assoc. Show in Atlanta earlier this week. The dealer didn't act like he was willing to honor the pricing. Most likely I will be buying another Bobcat skid steer. Now I just have to figure out if I should pay extra for SJC (joystick controls).
