I am currently in the market to purchase a skid steer attachment mower...The nearest Bobcat dealership have Land Pride mowers in stock and of course Brushcats available by order.. The Brushcat sells for $2200 more, weighs more and has rollers whereas the Landpride model has a front wheel (optional) and motor exposed to any debris.. Anyone familiar with Landpride mowers for skid steers. I know lots of people swear by their 3 point hitch models... Seeking any thoughts from anyone on their experiences, choice and recommendations of mowers... Thanks

The landpride being 2200 less seem like alot, compare features and material thickness, size of the gearbox etc.
www.virnigmfg.com and www.erskineattachments.com both make good comercial quality brush mowers.
The Virnig is a direct drive without a gearbox and has optional rear roller, front caster and floating deck features.
The erskine has a angle drive box and comes with the rear roller and floating deck. At close to 1500 lbsfor a 6 ft, both brands are vary heavy duty.

Thanks for the website links.I requested a quote to include shipping for the 60" Erskine Heavy Duty Skid Steer Hydraulic Rotary Brush Cutter .. Looks to be a nice mower that should suit my needs... Considering the 72" also...Not sure which size would be better fitted for a 773g w/turbo..
Just wondering if these mowers are like sheds..After you purchase one, you always wish you would have bought a larger one...
By the way, I loved the image posted on this website www.erskineattachments.com ... "The one time recovery plan"... Nothing but the truth...

I have sold a couple now to guys with S185s and they seem happy with the 6 ft. The 5 ft won't cover the width of the machine.
However the 5 ft may be a better choice if you happen to mow on soft ground. 1500 lbs sticking that far in front of the loader does feel pretty heavy when you carry it all.
With the rear roller some of the weight is off the loader when mowing on the ground, but sometimes you want to reach across a ditch or obstacle. The 5 ft is 270 lbs lighter.
Just something to consider.
I'd be happy to quote you on either size or model as well.

After giving much thought between the 60" and 72" I would have to agree that the 60' would be the best fit even though it covers less ground I believe it to be more user friendly having less weight as you mentioned.... also taking into consideration the hydraulic flow of 16.7 gpm of the 773 I believe my skid steer would be more suited for this size ( 60" )... I tend to think that I would not be happy with the power generated with the 72" because of minimal flow needed to operate the 72" and my machine being bordeline... Char Lynn has been in the game forever and its quality products speak volumes for itself..
Sure , I would love to recieve a quote from you.. I did previously note you were a dealer but thought you were covering Canada only...
