LX885 electrical/starting question

I added a block heater to my loader and ever since then I have had issues. 1st it was giving error 02- found out that the wire on the fuel selonoid was loose. 2nd upon that issue the hour meter is now showing 00 instead of any hours or anything else and it is having starting issues. It was used in the morning and went to use it later and acted like the battery was dead. took out battery and tested it - its ok. upon reinstalling battery the loader started right up but still shows 00 on hour meter. What is going on with this? please help

Your mentioning the word error signifies you have an early LX885. The first few years NH had instrument panels that were subject to corrosion. When that happens funny things start to happen. If the lines around the lights on the instrument panel are silver in color you have an early machine. If they are gold in color you may still have instrument panel problems but at least the panel can be repaired unlike the silver colored ones.
