I have an LX 885 that won't start. Cranks fine and starts with key switch in start position, will not run with switch in run position. No lights come on instrument cluster when you sit on the seat. I just replaced the seat switch with no change. Checked fuses in cab and they were all good. What else could be causing this problem? Pulled machine in garage and everything was good and then went to start it an hour later and had this problem. The key switch is good also.

When you sit in the seat the lights should light up if you have power to the seat switch. The power comes from the 5 amp fuse in the engine compartment. Unless you have the service/run switch in the service position or the fuse is blown the lights will come on when you sit in the seat. Check that the service/run switch is in the run position. The engine should not crank if there is no power at the seat switch with the service/run switch in the run position.
Check the 5 amp fuse in the engine compartment fuse panel. The fuse panel is on the left side of the engine compartment right behind the starter. Remove the cover and you will see two fuse banks. The 5 amp fuse you are looking for is in the right bank the second from the bottom.

Howdy. Did you ever figure this issue out? I have the same problem. Thanks
I have a newholland ls150 the dash display not lighting up. I've checked all battery connections. Charged battery fully. Fuses all good. Is there a relay that controls display lights? I can start by auxiliary toggle switch. I'm thinking has to be ignition switch or relay? It will randomly light up and start working. But never when I need it too. 😆

this is a guess ,but maybe it is the switch in the seat that powers the panel, mine is like that but a way different machine.

ifs its randomly working, it sounds to me like a poor connection some where, I would be following the wires from panel back, and checking for loose connections and or corrosion on them, and I would also be pulling all fuses and checking them for corrosion as well, and replacing them with some dielectric grease on them

I would also be checking key switch for worn contacts
key switches are cheap and easy to swap and they do wear out!

and when you said you checked fuses, does you machine have 1 or 2 fuse boxes??
some NH machines have more than one fuse box

It is the instrument board. A compositor on back of it was hot glued to board and came unglued. It was jiggling around. The post is broke off inside of it. So can't solder it. :/ They telling me I should just get a remanufactured like new. $1645 ouuuuch

yeah tha;ts a big ouch for sure, I
'd spend some time looking online for maybe a used one, I know I see part outs on ebay and other places from time to time, and then there is always scrap yards that get them in

I know this place runs things on Ebay and they then also have a web site, you might try contacting them,
that or messicks, they know a lot of places to find parts for older machines

not saying they will have or be cheaper, but worth looking into IMO! Good luck! update back if you find things , always nice to have a closure to a issue for us to all learn from!

here is a few cheaper than your price too , see a lot for different models for way cheaper on ebay (like 140 bucks only, not sure if they can be used but might also be worth looking into

or maybe this might work??

Pre Covid, I had my EIC repaired by Ag Express Electronics in Des Moines Iowa. Call to see if they still repair the NH EICs...

I just bought a new board through my new holland dealer, there is a company in Canada manufacturing them, they quoted me $2165.00, my dealer was running 20% off on parts that week for a special, so it did bring price down a bit, my board had a lot of rust on bottom of circuit board, gauges were reading funky, and the lower button on the left side was seized, could not press it. I figured $1100.00 for a used, hmmmm, what if that fails within a week or so, used electronics is a crap shoot, the new board came with a 2 year warranty, I have a John Deere 8875, which is New Holland LX885. John Deere would not acknowledge the aftermarket supplier exists.

Yep this one is warranted through CHS NewHolland dealer ship. Apple farm Service. I just went with the new remanufactured. That way I know what I got. They didn't want my old one for core. It was just the capacitor that came unglued and jiggled around and prongs busted off. All the gauges fuel exc. and lights worked on it until it couldn't hold on anymore. If I would have pulled panel off I would have of saw came off. I might try to find capacitor and find good solder circuit board guy. I use loader alot for pig compost. It lives in there. Hard nasty life.
