John Deere 575

Hello, Im new to the forum and also new to skid steer mechanics. I recently picked up a john deere 575 that has sat a few years not running. Couple of the hydro tank access covers were removed a while ago to replace the drive chains. Long story short, they never got replace and are quite rusty now. So my question is can I purchase the #80 chains at a local hardware store and will they fit/work/last on this machine. John deere wants $250+ each chain.

No reason why you can't buy it from a chain or bearing shop. Go the HD (heavy duty) chain, try and stick with a good brand. I believe Bobcat use diamond brand.
