I think that the 975 had tow valves, somewhere along the drive motor lines, that allows fluid to pass through the drive motors and the machine can be rolled. Maybe someone here has a manual for the 975, but it is a rare model. If you can't find the tow valves, you can do like Tazza suggests and remove the hoses.Not sure if it was a mechanical or electrical lockout for the brake. If its electrical you will need to remove the solenoid.
Also, the drive motors will be full of fluid causing them to be locked up. You will need to remove the hoses from them and tow it slowly. Oil will squirt out of the lines, make sure you keep this area clean, you don't want dirt in your motors.
