just bought an LX 565 .it has an issue to where when you turn the key off it takes about 7-10 seconds to shut down and now today it ran for about 1 minute before shutting down. new ignition already installed...could the fuel shut off solenoid have a delay and about to crap out?
Thanks,
Steve

I think your on the right track. Thats where I would start is the fuel shutoff solenoid. If your machine is similar to mine, it looks simple. I guess you could take it off and have it tested at a shop, not sure. I would think any shop that works on general automotive electrical could find out if the solenoid is working properly.

Lock your boom up and remove the left side panel. With the engine idling remove the wire from the fuel shut off solenoid. If the engine stops the solenoid should be ok.

ok I'll try it tomorrow....what if it does shut off? what else could keep the machine running?

Then somehow the solinoid is getting fead power when it should not be. Crossed wires in the harness, or ....
The solenoid is working fine but i can see that the #1 and #4 injectors are leaking fuel while machine is running, sort of like there should be a washer there but isn't ..would that affect the engine turning off and it has become hard to start also,
thanks again guys,
steve

That would not cause it to run on but definitely make it hard to start.
I would try unhooking the alternatior wire too. I have had those back feed power to a fuel solinoid when the key was switched off.
