Got an issue with my machine, lx865, came out one day to use it and it cranks over but won't fire, last time I used it it ran ok but did shut off once but restarted right away, did notice that time that the 5 amp on overhead fuse was going hot, so I replaced fuse and terminals, all safety features appear to be working seat and seat belt, machine does not start in service mode either, also when you turn the key to start it I do not here the glow plug relay or the fuel solenoid release, I did test power to fuel shut off solenoid and there is no power to it when I have someone in the seat trying to start it, so the weird thing is if you hold the glow plug switch it will fire right up and run until i let go of it and then it shuts back off, I guess I'm wondering if the safety interlock relay is bad? Any help is appreciated

One potential cause I've ran into is bad connection in the blade sockets for the fuses and relays. Corrosion or wear from vibration or both have led to me wiring in replacement sockets in some of my machines in both the fuse holders (cab and engine compartment) and relay holders (engine compartment). Symptoms were varied but I'd say any of those areas could lead to shut down/won't start situations. Diagnosed by wiggling fuse/relay while trying to start. Short term improvement was to crimp the blade to make it fit tighter. Long term fix was wire in new holders. Not saying this is absolutely your problem but would be high on my check list especially that fuse you said was hot.

Definitely will check fuses and relays again, what I don't get is why does it start only when holding the preheat switch and dies as soon as I let go of it, would you happen to have wiring schematic or electrical service manual for lx865 or similar
