Hi all, I have been lurking here for a bit, I must say you all seem like a great group. Anyhow I recently purchased a bobcat 751 with a peugeot engine . Upon further inspection noticed it has a small hole in the block. I was told that it jumped time, and that all it would take to fix is putting a new connecting rod and bearing as the crank should be fine. And then add a plate to the block and weld it up. I know only enough about these machines to get me in trouble, however I am mechanically inclined with other types of engines. I guess what I am asking for is an opinion on which route to go here, I was told by the local steeler that the peugeot has a diffrent bell housing and drive train than a kubota and a peugeot reman is 5,200 dollars. Please help. By the way the machine and hydros are in excellent condition, and the engine as well only has 1,600 hours on it. Thanks in advance for any help or opinions.
