MY BOBCAT 743 WITH KUBOTA DIESEL ENGINE RUNS GREAT BUT THERE AN OIL LEAK COMING FROM THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE ENGINE. THE ONLY THING I CAN SEE IS A SENSOR ON THE RIGHT SIDE TOWARD THE BACK OF THE BLOCK. IT APPEARS TO BE LEAKING. DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT THIS SENSOR IS?

ALSO MY BUCKET TILT PIN AND HOUSING ARE BADLY WORN. I PURCHASED A BEARING FROM BOBCAT BUT IT WAS TOO FAR DAMAGED TO USE THE BEARING. WHAT ARE MY OPTIONS FOR REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT OF THIS? CAN PART BE OBTAINED? IT DEFINITELY LOOKS LIKE IT WILL NEED TO BE WELDED.

Firstly, turn caps off, as typing in caps means you are YELLING!!!!
Is the oil leaking engine oil or hydraulic?
As you noticed, there is an engine oil pressure sender in the block. They can and do leak, i have had a few that did leak on me. If its hydraulic its probably your control block, or even the hose that curls up under the control block, these are prone to cracking with age.
The tilt pin you are talking about, is this for the tilt ram eye? If it got too worn before changing the bushing, it will need to be machined out and a larger bushing made to fit it. All these things are doable, you just need the tools to do said job.

yeah. sorry about the caps. i was at work and didnt think about it.

its definitely oil. oil pressure sensor would make sense.

yes the tilt pin on the front of the hydraulic cylinder. so the only way is to machine it and get a larger bushing? theres no kit i can purchase to weld on new tabs with a new pin/bushing?

Bobcat do not sell over sized bushings, you will need to machine one up your self.
Is it the actual eye of the ram that is worn? os has the bosses on the bobtach worn too? Both can be fixed, but when you weld the bosses back in on the bobtach, you need to ensure they are straight or you will damage your cylinder due to it twisting from side to side.
I have done a few of these. When the eye on the ram gets too bad, i cut it off and make a new eye and weld it on. It can all be done, you just need to have the gear or know someone that does.

yes. the eye of the ram is oblong and the bobtach bosses are worn as well. the bobtach bosses have the most damage. the pin has at least 1/2" play inside the bobtach bosses and 1/8-1/4" play in the ram.
where did you say i can get parts to repair this?

If they are worn that bad, you need a machine shop, or a mate with some gear. The ram eye needs to be cut off and a new one welding on if you don't have access to a mill to bore the hole out and install a sleeve. The bobtach, you can grind the old bosses out and weld new ones in, again, a machine shop can make them.
Sadly it won't be a cheap fix if you don't have the gear or know someone that does.... I have done this repair a few times, but i have all the gear to do it. It works really well, worth the time and effort.
