Bobcat 463 Axle Issues

I just noticed some oil leaking from my left rear wheel (sitting in the machine left) So I removed the wheel and noticed some end-play, the hub could be pushed in and out. No up and down or side to side, just in and out. I have looked at the parts diagram and they mention a washer, bobcat # 6592765 that will take out the end play. Is this what I need to do? How hard of a job is this, I figured I would replace the bearings (inner outer)/seal also. Does anyone have any directions/pictures on how to do this job (mainly how to get into the chain case). Thanks

then click 'Parts Catalog', you can pick your machine model, and then 'Drive Train'. This should show you some exploded views of the chain case. On the 'Axle' page, you should see that items 2 and 10 are interchangeable to take out end play.
This is 'accessible' through the brake cover (see the 'Brakes' page, item 20). I put accessible in quotes, because like everything on these machines, child-like hands are a bonus! :-)
Once you get the end play taken care of, you are in luck, as your machine has removable hubs to ease hub seal replacement without pulling the entire axle.

If you have a lathe, you can cut a little off the washers that hold the sprockets to take up the end float.
After measuring the end float, you cut the centre part out to the diameter of the end of the axle making the washer not sit flat with the end of the axle like it did before, but will sit inward a little further pulling the axle out ever so slightly more.

note taking up end play. yes while it does work. is ultitmiely. a patch not a repar yes brgs and races are worn. but we are also not going 70 down the freeway. so worn brgs judgement call.
 
but if brg disengerates. and deystroys ax tube could get expensive.
The end float adjustment is only for a few thou, but if it's moving a lot, bearings need doing.
When I did my bearings, I needed to adjust the end float by up to about .008" all were different, but were 0 when I was done.
