Hi everyone, I just joined up and for a few reasons. Reason #1. I need help. reason #2. Maybe can offer help sometime. and reason #3. I was impressed and thought I should join just because it exsisted. Anyway, my problem is that my 763G (owned from new, now w/1800hrs) seems to have developed a "chirpy / squealy" kind of noise that I dont know where or why has appeared but it sounds like a loose belt when its gets put under load. It doesnt seem to matter what revs the machine is doing but this noise appears when, - turning sharply - digging heavily - opening the clam(4-in-1) bucket to maximum and holding it there, and it kinda feels like its loosing hyd power/overloading? Its my 2nd Bobcat (743 before this) and havent experienced this before. The machine still works fine tho it doesnt sound impressive squealing like this and I want to fix it. Any help on this will undoubtedly save me big bucks! Thanks for your time.. :)

Sure does sound liike a loose drive belt , no bull , thread on site of how to adjust it

Thanks for that Fish.. I know where it is located but I assumed it adjusted itself..and I have never touched it. Maybe it has come about due to a corroded hyd.oil cooler fitting, recently developing a pinhole leak on the left hand side and then me removing that cover (w/the 3 clips) to degrease after repairing the leak..leading now to nice clean shiney pulleys for the unadjusted belt to slip on?? (just a therory as it seems to have appeared since that repair/clean-up) So, with taking your advise and using different keywords (ie: "belts" as opposed to "hydraulic noise"), I found some info here and I just read that "there is an adjusting diagram on the inside of the rear door". Ill check it out in the morning (midnight here now) adjust it up and see how it goes! Thanks again, I appreciate the help!!

Your main drive belt is loose or needs replaced. The have a spring loaded adjuster but once it adjusts so far the spring needs to be re wound again. Of course if oil got on the belt that won't help things either. hse are simple to adjust and give the exact simtoms you describe. Applys to all bobcats with the motor in sideways
