HI All, I'm into the lights now on my 753. Only 1 or 2 lights total worked when I bought the machine. Most are shot (bulbs and housings) and need replaced which I am doing with LED lights. My question as I try to get everything working is: What are the switch positions supposed to be for? I have a square switch which rotates through 4 total positions. Obviously, the furthest counter clockwise position is the OFF position. What should turn on in each of the other 3 positions? Does the engine need to be running for the lights to work, or just the key turned on? Not surprisingly, my $100 Bobcat O&M manual tells me nothing about the switch settings, not does the service manual (or schematics) which I got from this sight. Thanks, Dale M

Thanks brdgbldr, I'll start with that and see what I find. Any idea if the machine needs to be running, or just the key turned on? Or key not involved at all? I did work through the wiring schematic last night and it appears that the light circuits do not go through the key, but its possible I missed something. The wiring is simple per the schematic, but unfortunately, the switch positions and which contacts get opened / closed at each position are not shown. I'll post what I find. Thx. Dale M

Hi All, my promised follow-up on this. Based on the schematics for my machine, I determined which color wires fed the various lights. I removed my switch and mapped which terminals made up with the +12V terminals (there are two) at each switch position. Comparing those terminals with the wires on each and the schematic, told me what is powered up at each switch position. It is as follows for the four positions:

OFF - nothing energized
Position 1 - Front Flasher lights only energized - these are OPTIONAL lights - (Brown wire only energized)
Position 2 - Front Flasher lights, Red Tail Lights and Front Lights are energized - (Brown, Pink and Blue wires energized)
Position 3 - Front Flasher lights, Rear Work Lights and Front Lights are energized - (Brown, Blue / White and Blue wires energized)

Also, the switch is fed power directly from the +12V at the starter terminal. It is NOT dependent on key position as the power does not come from / through the key switch.
