Hey All, Long story...GEHL with Deutz diesel engine that hadn't been started in 2 years due to idiot operators causing much damage which was partially repaired by a local shop before they went under. The oil pan (new) and crankshaft (used) were replaced and I was able to finish putting the engine back together. After a lot of work I got it to run but it abruptly quit after a few minutes. At this point it won't turn over. The starter clicks but nothing. I took the starter out and verified that it was turning. I removed the radiator and took off the fan blade and put a ratchet/socket and breaker bar on the large bolt holding on the bottom pulley. I couldn't get it to turn at all. The fan does turn by hand. The battery has been charged and all cables cleaned, including the connection on the starter solenoid. Any thoughts/ideas? Thanks!

If it will not turm with a breaker bar, the starter won't budge it. Is it still connested to the pump? Just wondering if it could be the pump, but not likely.
How good was the shop that did the work? could they have not lubed the bearings on the replaced crank? they may have locked up. It could be oil in the cylinders.
You really need to pull the engine and find out what has locked up. When you got it started, did you check the oil pressure at all?
Sadly with a locked engine, you need to pull it down and work out what is stuck, there is no easy fix.
