What is the difference between the 543 and 543B ? Does the B series have a different engine manufacturer ? Not having much luck searching on google. Thanks
The B does have the pull cable to shut down. The B series is generally slightly updated over the standard one. It may have a key switch to shut down instead of a pull cable.
I'm basing this on a 743 and 743B, it's what they did. Also the axles were two pieces on the B series making it easier to replace axle seals.
Bobcat's site shows the B being 61lbs heavier, 2.6 inches longer, 0.5GPM lower flow on the auxiliary and with only 19.5HP vs. 21.5HP on the 543. I don't know if the HP difference is the result of measuring it differently or a difference in the engines. The B does have the pull cable to shut down.
