2000 bobcat 773 no power when you turn the key

Hi. Im new here. A couple months ago I bought a 2000 bobcat 773 from my boss. I had used this machine many times at work and never had a problem. I went to start it yesterday and there was no power when I turned the key. I put the battery charger on it and charged it for a hour and still nothing. There is power to the cab light and 12v assy plug in but nothing else. I have checked the fuse box and everything is good. Has anybody else had a problem like this. Any advise would be great. Ive got a 773. After it sits for 3 days the battery will go dead. Setting the charger to boost start will crank it but too many boost starts will ruin the battery. I started disconnecting the battery after I use it. Ive got a short somewhere.

You need to take a test light and see how far the power is gettin away from the battery. You may have a bad cable, bad connection or poor ground. If you find a cable you think is bad use a set of booster cables to go around it to see if that solves the trouble.
if power is getting to the starter on the big cable, and the battery ground check out, then test the small starter wires for power while some tries to start it. If both the small and large wires at the starter show power while starting then it could be your solinoid that failed.
Does the fuel solinoid still pull the stop lever at the injection pump? Or do you have no glow plugs, no lights, no nothing when the key is on?
This can also be a bad fuse or relay located under a tin cover behind the operators lower legs.
Just a few idea to start with.

Im going to start tracing power with a test light today.Iv checked all the fuses and relays and replaced 2 that looked a little bad. Its when I turn the key theres nothing, no power at all. The battery is chared and has juice.

Check that the power cables are not corroded. They may look good on the outside, but the copper gets a black coating that is an insulator. Even rust at the earth points on the chassis.
One good test is to bridge the +ve and starting pin (small wire) on the starter, see if the starter cranks. If it does, the battery cables are good.
Did you check the main fuse? follow the +ve cable from the battery.

I traced it up to the right board. I have power coming in but no power going over to the ign. switch. Im going to price out a new one tomorrow.
