There should be a drain plug on the front of the chain case behind the quick attach assembly. Just make sure it's topped off and not milky. PITA to change the oil as you'll need to extract with some kind of pump.

Great to hear you finally got that 843 going! Mine bit the dust after getting quite a few tough projects done. The gear boxes that drive the wheels failed and those are NLA. Do check your chain case oil, keep it full and clean. When the seals and bearings go on the axles really bad things...

I have a 743 and use non-detergent 30W motor oil. That is pretty much the same as the Bobcat hydraulic fluid at $75 for 5 gal. I get mine at tractor supply for about $45 for 5 gal.

Yeah, getting those Bob-tach pins free was a real challenge. Lots of PB Blaster, torch heat and beating with a mallet. One of the attaching bolts sheared off so that had to be drilled out and re-tapped. It's still much tighter attachment than I ever had with the 834.
