Hopefully I am not violating any protocol by creating a new post on this issue but I think a clean start outlining where I'm at now will make things clearer. The original problem: Machine ran fine until I changed the padded seat. After that it would only start in maintenance mode. What I have done: After removing the entire seat and seat pan assembly, I did the following. Replaced the wiring harness under the seat. This is the harness that goes to the seat belt switch wiring and the two under the seat plunger switches. I stuck a screwdriver in the female seatbelt recepticale with a multi meter testing continuity at the plug. I get continuity when I depress that switch. I tested both brand new switches before installing them. They both work as they should. I made certain everything was plugged in. What is happening now: When I sit in the seat the panel lights come on and the seat belt light flashes. I can now start the engine in either drive or in maintenace mode, so I made some headway. The machine will move and turn in either mode. The problem is I still cannot raise the bucket. When I attach the seatbelt the seatbelt light still stays flashing and the parking brake light is on. This shouldn't be this hard! I have to be missing something obvious but I cannot think of what it might be. If you have any ideas I'd like to hear them. Sorry this is one long paragraph. I have even retyped it. It looks great in edit mode but not in preview! I guess everything I touch is breaking now.
