Hi, new to this forum, lots of good info here. I was looking at buying an older Bobcat 444 kohler gas powered skidsteer, its in very good condition except 1 thing, this is exactly what he told me "The recent snowstorm blew out the clutch plates so the drive is not functioning properly at the moment. the bucket and boom are fine" I am a chevrolet technician for my full time job so i am mechanically inclined. My question is how hard is this job and how exspensive is this roughly. Any thoughts would be helpfull before i purchase. He wants 2,800 for it.

There should only be one clutch lining per side. The clutch lining part number is 6649871 and retail for around $24.22. I have a diagram if you need one so just let me know. He would be correct in saying the bucket and boom are just fine as the lining only controls the drive.

The clutch material is a lot cheaper than i would have ever expected.

He said they were around 30.00 each so i guess they were right. If you had a diagram that would be great. Thanks !

Thanks for the diagram !! I picked it up today in Maryland. The right side seems strong but the left side seems pretty weak, it also has alot of play in the left lever, i will take it apart this weekend and see what is going on.
