Ive got a 720 with the Wisconsin engine and a warning light for liw oil pressure. I'm wanting to convert the light to an Oil Pressure Gauge. I removed the electric sender on the side of the motor and attached the new fitting with the oil line but barely get any oil coming thru the line. Obviously not enough pressure where I attached the hose. My question is has anybody tried to do this and is there a different place I should be putting the oil hose fitting?

That's the right place to hook the gauge up, your pressure sounds very low if you are getting little flow from where the sender was installed.

What model Wisconsin engine do you have? I have M600 with a VH4D and it has the idiot light for the oil pressure. The normal oil pressure for this engine is impossibly low, on the order of 4-5 psi at operating temp. The pressure relive valve is set to 15 PSI. These numbers were taken right from the Wisconsin manual.

oil pressure on my 610 operates at about 3 to 4 pounds, I have a gauge on mine.
