Hi all. I am a week or so away from buying my first skid steer. I have narrowed my choices down to two used machines. A New Holland L-775 with a Deutz diesel and a Case 1845B with diesel. Both have about the same hours and overall condition is close. Price is within a couple hundred dollars. I could use a gentle nudge off the fence. All opinions welcome and appreciated. Thanks, Gary

I not intimately familar with eithier, but they should compare fairly well. Major brands and medium size loaders.
That being said does either have aux hydraulics pumbed out on the boom to run a grapple or auger? Has either of them been updated to use the Bobcat style or universal attachments which it the standard for all skidsteers. Those are the 2 downfalls of these older machines and the advantage of a older bobcat brand, it has the right quick attach and often came with aux hyd aka 3rd valve.
If you definitely are deciding between these too, compare how the engines start and runs, the pin slop at all the pivot points (especially the bucket tilt cylinders). Do they drive straight, not creep when sitting still? Is there oil leaking or colecting dust anywhere?
Just some things to consider.
Ken
