Melroe 600 steering

I noticed when I pull on the right lever the response is not as responsive as the left. where should I begin troubleshooting. I was thinking about checking handle bushings and move on to more complex items.

Moved this over to the General Bobcat Skidsteer Forum where your other Melroe 600 thread lives so folks who know these machines inside and out will see it. Checking the handle bushings first sounds like a sensible starting point to me. Steering linkage stuff is past what I know on these machines so I'd let the guys who wrench on them regularly walk you through the rest.

Linkage bushing are a great place to start, don't forget to check all of them, including the ones that pivot the handles. That machine does not have a hydraulic drive, it's all done with mechanical clutches. You adjust the clutches inside caps on the outside of the frame above the wheels. Clutches would be the next step, they're not real hard to adjust, but you might want to disassemble and clean them first. Mine were full of crap the first time and it made it difficult to get them set right.
