Pretty sure my 742b has an issue with the in tank fuel pick up tube. I have an electric fuel pump which worked great until this latest issue. Any body have a suggestion on hooking up a temporary alternate fuel supply so I can pull it out of my garage to raise the cab and pull the fuel line out of the tank?

Make sure that your fuel pump has enough pressure. My 742B had a fuel pump that was pumping fuel but had lost pressure so it would not start or stay running when started.
An external fuel tank, like is used for boats, works well just attach it to the fuel inlet line.
Not recommended, because it is dangerous, you can secure a gas can to the machine with a fuel line put in it attached to the fuel inlet line.
You could tow the machine out. Just have someone push the levers ( or tie them ) in the direction of the tow. This should allow the wheels to turn with the machine off.

Hanks so much for the advise regarding the levers. That sounds like my best optio. I unplugged the fuel line at the carb, put the line in a container and turned on the key. The electric pump started running but nothing out of the line.
Hook a line to the inlet side of the fuel pump and run it to a small jug/bottle, turn on key to verify the pump is working. If so, connect line to carb, verify machine will run. If you have a helper, have them hold the bottle and walk along as you pull it out of the garage.
before messing with the pickup tube, I’d connect my temp bottle line to the inlet side of the fuel shutoff to make sure that it is opening correctly.
