14k dump trailer. Loading always makes me nervous...haha. I'm sure I would feel much better about the process of loading/unloading if I had gotten a low rise flat deck, but I was trying to check off all the boxes with one trailer. It subs as a skid steer in moving slash/dirt on the property, hauls Bobby, and picks up materials from Rona. The one thing I never thought about before buying, was the walls of the dump trailer...they are too high to allow Bobby to turn around once on trailer. Although, the pics don't show it, I got two drop jacks welded on back end of trailer...a must for loading Bobby or dumping heavy crap. The whole pucker factor was alleviated considerably by getting those jacks welded on. Now, the trailer deck doesn't bounce around or WHY, when loading. The only concern is the ramps, but they are silly heavy, so I 'think' I am ok there... IMHO, the jacks made all the difference in the world. I've heard of a few horror stories from folks who jackknifed in the vertical, thereby losing trucks rear braking...the whole kit then drove off with operator partially loaded. Didn't end well on a couple of occasions... Me being me, I block all 8 wheels...I am never in a rush when (un)loading.
