I wish to purchase a complete head. I have found one for sale indirect injection, but the casting numbers on the new one are V15N and K2C. The casting numbers on my old head are V15N and K3C. Can anybody tell me if they are compatible? Or where can I get a replacement? Regards

Call 504-393-1701 which is Gulf Engine , they are a Kubota engine dealer , parts and rebuilder and they should be able to tell you , I would say it would work , I would guess that there are no visibile differences or you wouldn't be asking this question , I am not sure
You will find the casting numbers could simply be a different casting batch or plant. As long as its off a V2203 it will work and yes its an indirect injection head. I have used a head off a V1502 on a V1702 before, the head was slightly different but it worked perfectly. Where the thermostat housing bolted on was slightly different so i used a housing to suit. Ensure it is indeed a V2203 head and you won't have any problems.

The 2203 came in both direct and indirect injection versions according to Foley Engines. Kubota 2203 Identification. They also sell complete rebuild Overhaul Kits.
I haven't dealt with them, I just found them while searching for parts.
As long as all your ports and things line up (can check with head gasket) and nothing is in the way your Fine using that head. V2203 come out with different versions which call for different casting numbers most will interchange just depends on app. But just make sure all the ports and cleaances totaly match up from the head to block.
